The FG Knot is a very small, extremely strong, 100% break strength knot for tying braid to fluoro (it works great for mono, too!). I can tell you from my own personal experience that it doesn't catch on your guides or spool like a Modified Alberto often does, and it absolutely flies through your guides. However, it's a bit more challenging to tie, especially on the water. Sunline Pro Staff member J. P. DeRose shows what I consider to be a much easier way to tie an FG Knot, including a great tip for keeping the proper amount of tension on the line during the tie as well as a much more secure way to finish the knot off and lock it in place. Enjoy and good luck!
